GIVE BACK TO THE GAME YOU LOVE......JOIN IAABO
For many, the end of school and our basketball playing days means we are just a regular fan. We invite you to stay involve in basketball and become a Massachusetts high school basketball referee. There are over 2,000 men and woman who are members of one of 13 Massachusetts IAABO boards who get on the front lines of the action. Earn very good money per game and make life long friends along the way.
Flexible Schedules & earn $60-90 per high school game
Over 300 schools in Massachusetts have 20 game schedules both boys and girls (varsity, freshman and junior varsity. Games can be 2 person or 3 person referee crews. Sub varsity earns $60 per game while varsity is $90.
Many high school referees do not stop after the winter high school season. There are youth, AAU and travel team games almost every weekend of the year. It is not uncommon to make $300 + during a weekend AAU tournament.
Maybe take it to the next level. After a few successful years doing high school games, some referees set there sites on college basketball where the better players, more challenge and more pay per game. Junior College, Division 2 & 3 pay $150-300 per game while the select few making it to NCAA Division 1 can earn $1000+ per game. Most college referees in New England are IAABO members and their CBOA leadersjip just merged with IAABO this year
